The New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery is located less than two miles from CSNH’s Boscawen location, which is one of the reasons we serve many families of veterans there. Our team has expertise in veterans cremation services, and our site offers an extensive list of veterans cremation benefits and additional benefits here. The cemetery in Boscawen provides free burial space for the cremated remains of veterans, and veterans or family members of veterans can pre-apply to confirm eligibility.

We’ve made it simple for residents to retire tattered American flags at our Boscawen location. Simply bring your retired flag to our red, white and blue mailbox at 172 King St. Place the flag into the mailbox slot and we will give it a proper retirement, per the U.S. Flag Code.
Congress passed the joint resolution in 1942, providing guidance to how to and how not to display the American flag, and how to retire an American flag. “When the flag is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem, it should be destroyed in a dignified and ceremonious fashion, preferably by burning,” states the code.
We also offer families of deceased veterans the opportunity for the cremation of their loved ones with one of these retired flags.
