Nationwide Protection Plan

If you are traveling or on vacation and pass away, what will your family do? How will they be able to bring you back home? At The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, we can save you the worry and your family the stress and added expense of getting you home with our Nationwide Protection Plan.

This assistance program responds when death occurs, no matter where you are in the United States. It utilizes a network of family-owned funeral homes to ensure that your loved one makes it home and the final arrangements remain intact.

Why do you need the Nationwide Protection Plan?

Most people travel to some extent, especially during their “golden years.” For many, it is a way of life. Whether you are enjoying your retirement roaming the country, on a business trip, or spending a relaxing vacation with the family, things can happen and, as unpleasant as it is to think about, deaths do occur when people travel. Most people are not prepared psychologically or financially to deal with bringing home the mortal remains of a loved one.

When you choose our Nationwide Protection Plan, when that time comes all your family has to do is call us. We will intervene quickly and directly to manage the situation and bring your loved one home. This is very important when the deceased is far away from home where different state laws and regulations may otherwise prevent the family’s wishes from being carried out. No individual or family can quickly or easily mobilize the resources available through our Nationwide Protection.

When a person who is covered by our Nationwide Protection Plan dies outside of our service area, the family is completely relieved of any additional financial considerations above and beyond our regular rates. They also are not burdened with making critical decisions while under great stress. All they must do is make one simple phone call and we will take care of everything involved in arranging the cremation and returning the cremated remains from anywhere in the country to one of our five office locations.

Our Nationwide Protection plan covers the costs of locating a local funeral home and crematorium, transportation for the remains, and acquisition of the permits and medical examiner certification as well as the actual cremation, processing of the death certificate, and shipping the cremains.

Protection You Can Count On: One Family’s Story

Pat and Joe became members of CSNH and planned all their arrangements, choosing to pay in full. Once they retired, they decided that the New Hampshire winters were a little too harsh for them, so they became snowbirds, wintering in sunny Florida. They didn’t add the Nationwide Plan when they became members all those years ago and never got around to adding it once they started traveling.

Last winter, Joe passed away suddenly, leaving Pat and the rest of the family saddled with paying to transport Joe’s body home for the funeral. The experience was not only emotionally devastating, it was financially devastating as well.

When John and Bonnie became members of CSNH, they were pretty much homebodies. However, they decided to purchase the Nationwide Protection Plan because, as Bonnie said, “You just never know.”

Several years later, they finally took that long anticipated vacation with their best friends to the Great Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. On their last day there, after a wonderful time of making memories, John had a cardiac incident and passed away. In her pain and confusion, Bonnie called us. She said she didn’t know who else to call or what she should do next. We immediately sprang into action and made the arrangements to get John back home where his family could attend his services and comfort Bonnie.

In a note sent after the service, Bonnie thanked us for our prompt, professional way of handling the situation. She closed with a thought that we completely agree with – and we couldn’t have said it better.

“Buying that Nationwide Protection Plan was like buying a little extra peace of mind – and you can’t put a price tag on that.”
